We are looking for an Actuary to join the team, early in October 2024, on a 12-month fixed term contract and provide actuarial advice to the Board by carrying out and checking a range of actuarial, quantitative finance or modelling processes.
The Actuary role supports the provision of actuarial advice to the Board by carrying out or checking a range of actuarial, quantitative finance or modelling processes. They are also responsible for the quality and timeliness of the outputs.
The role will be responsible for the calculation and sign-off of actuarial models, planning and development of cross teamwork, making recommendations, implementing process changes and improvements within the team and presenting the results of actuarial work to relevant committees.
We are looking for an Actuary that has previous experience gained with the pension industry or insurance industry. You may be newly qualified, qualified with demonstrable experience or qualified by experience to apply for this role. What is important is the experience you have gained to date as we are looking for an individual that has the knowledge of relevant actuarial specialities (e.g. risk, valuations, pensions, investments, modelling), who is numerical and has strong analytical skills.
